Avian AquaClean Bird Cage Cleaning System
A cleaning system that rests under
a birdcage; continuously flowing water collects debris and
filters it into a receptacle for easy, no-mess disposal.
The Inventor
I was an art major in college, acquired an associate degree
and apprenticed at Washburn Trade School. I have been a
Local 250 carpenter for twenty years, and an avid motorcyclist.
Owning tropical birds was an endless job trying to keep the house and cages clean. In the mornings, I used to take my parrot with me into the bathroom and put him on the opened medicine cabinet door over the sink. When I was done in the bathroom, I could just wash down any dander, feathers or poop. “The Idea” was born. I have taken the concept of a moving body of water and developed it to solve the problem of unhealthy living environments for my family and my birds . I now live in a house full of pets and maintain a healthy environment using various models of the Avian AquaClean System to accommodate my small, medium and large birds.

I am writing to tell you how fabulous your Avian AquaClean System has performed since it was installed under our play gym in the bird
room. I was skeptical at first as we have 70+ bird cages and I was worried about the added work to keep it clean without the use of the butcher paper that all of us have been conditioned to use and I thought that this system might wreak havoc on the "routine" we have become accustomed to doing.
What I did find was the opposite. It actually takes much less time to keep it clean and there is no butcher paper to throw out thereby reducing our garbage output as well. I have found that clean up is a snap and the birds love it. Also, an added benefit was the reduction in free-floating dust particles and an increase in indoor humidity prompts me to say that as soon as we get the drawings for our now aviary, we will have to sit down to put our heads together and design a system for the flight cages.

The Avian AquaClean system is truly amazing! It has done wonders with eliminating dander, which has helped a great deal with my allergies. I would definitely recommend this system to all bird lovers not only for themselves, but for their birds too! I have a cockatiel and he absolutely loves the constant sound of the water beneath him. After receiving my Perch & Play shipment, I put it together late
the same night. I found Collie on the new Perch & Play when I
got home from work the next day. There was no food in the bowls
or toys hanging yet, but he loved it and immediately claimed it
as his own.
The Perch & Play fits easily through doorways and moves smoothly on the casters through our entire house. In the mornings, I roll Collie near the bathroom so he can watch me get ready for work, and in the evenings he sits with us in the living room to watch movies. He loves to take rides and climb all over his new play stand. I have many other birds that also enjoy the Perch & Play, but when Collie is out the play stand is his. I plan to take the Perch & Play with me to use during avian education programs this year. It is very light and easy to transport. The removable tray is also very easy to clean. I don't even line it with paper. I simply take it to the sink to wash it at the end of the day. Thank you for making such a user friendly play stand for parrots!

My family would like to take the opportunity to thank you for giving us the privilege of experiencing the prototype of your Avian AquaClean System. We are ecstatic about the cleanliness of the system and are amazed at how it provides the added humidity necessary within our home.
We are now at ease with the maintenance of this system, compared to the traditional newspaper type lined catch tray of the past. The constant water flow filters the bird feed, feathers and droppings, which obviously helps the appearance of our birds home and provides our family with a healthier environment.
