Spring cleaning time has come around! Some of us hear the words 'spring clean' and shudder. A huge home clean can be daunting especially when you know just how much junk you might have accumulated over the time. Along with junk, lots of other things can build up over time like dust, dirt, debris, which means that it's inevitable that bacteria has found a home within your home. So we have put together a list of tips to combat your cleaning woes!
Start with the big stuff
As daunting as it may be, if you start with the big things first and work your way through the smaller more simple chores it can make the job feel much easier! Getting the big stuff out of the way also helps you to feel more accomplished.
Try not to get too attached
I know the dress you wore to your 1987 prom is still hanging in your closet, and I dare say that you have considered throwing it out a number of times, maybe now is the time! Think of throwing some things away that you no longer use. Try considering some eco-friendly ideas by up-cycling, recycling or donating to a local charity. Giving can also be a great feeling, and will free up some storage space in your house.
Watch those chemicals
While you're going through all of your old stuff you'll more than likely be rustling up some dust and other allergens which will be floating through the air, to prevent adding fire to the fuel try to be wary of the chemicals that you're going to be using while you're cleaning, or even avoid chemical use all together.
Make it fun
We all know that cleaning can be boring, so try and make it fun! It's probably going to be a pretty big job so there is no point in having a bad time when you can make things fun. Invite a friend over to help and you can reminisce on all of the funny old things that you find, put on some music and dance while you work. There are lots of ways that you can distract yourself from the fact that you're cleaning and turn it into a party!
